Overview

Position Summary

The Ladders is seeking a Lead Financial Strategist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for evaluating and interpreting intricate data presented in internal financial documents and other significant financial reports. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior leadership in Operations, offering strategic insights through financial analysis, reporting, profitability assessments, and operational cost forecasting. Responsibilities will encompass various projects, capital investment evaluations, and initiatives aimed at enhancing profitability.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of financial outcomes, trends, and metrics on a monthly basis; effectively communicate findings and provide forward-looking strategic support to Operations leadership through comprehensive monthly business reviews.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures to accurately reflect the general ledger by calculating and posting journal entries and updating reports based on financial outcomes.
  • Develop the annual budget, along with quarterly and long-term forecasts. Build, maintain, and refine financial models while collaborating with key business leaders to integrate their insights into these models.
  • Foster continuous improvement by creating new metrics and reporting systems to enhance business analysis, improve forecast accuracy, and support informed decision-making.
  • Promote simplification initiatives and optimize operational processes.
  • Utilize advanced technology, including Alteryx and Tableau, to enhance reporting and data analysis capabilities.
  • Engage with all areas of Finance & Accounting as necessary, particularly during month-end close or on specific projects.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, data analysis techniques, and reporting tools through the application of business intelligence tools and visualization methods.
  • Leverage data to develop meaningful metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools that enhance the internal customer experience.
  • Conduct in-depth analytical projects in collaboration with Finance leadership to inform strategic decisions or uncover new insights.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PowerPivot, PowerQuery, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience with Tableau is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL is a plus.
  • Experience with Alteryx is preferred.
