As a Membership Services Manager at the San Diego Tourism Authority, you will play a critical role in promoting and marketing San Diego County as a vacation destination and meetings and convention site. Your primary objective will be to execute a Membership plan that meets annual Member retention and dues revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a Membership plan that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Train Members to utilize the SDTA extranet to post content and ensure they meet SDTA content guidelines.
  • Review and approve content submissions from Members to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Respond to Membership inquiries in a timely and professional manner, converting prospects into new Members.
  • Promote programs that connect Members to benefits, scheduling in-person orientations, networking events, and other events as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership data in the CRM platform, ensuring data cleanliness and accuracy.
  • Support the annual Member renewal effort by working closely with the Finance team on collections and communications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of member-based operations is preferred.
  • Proactive problem solver capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle and resolve member issues professionally and calmly.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Comfortable working with enterprise-level CRM systems.
  • Ability to review and edit content for grammar, accuracy, and adherence to content guidelines.
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry and established contacts within San Diego are a plus.
  • Experience in event management is a plus.
