Responsibilities

The Physical Therapy Technician plays a vital role in the success of Team Rehabilitation. Primary responsibilities include ensuring patients receive the necessary support to reach their recovery objectives and improve their well-being.

  • Assist in providing high-quality treatment, focusing on welcoming and comforting patients to prepare them for physical therapy.
  • Display excellent customer service skills and provide encouragement when appropriate.
  • Follow the plan of care established for the patient by the therapist.
  • Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks and accommodate patients' needs to support their success in therapy.
  • Educate patients about equipment, ensuring safe and correct use.
  • Assist patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation, as needed.
  • Help patients with mobility assistance, using proper techniques to ensure their safety.
  • Ensure 360-degree communication with patients, physicians, staff members, and other stakeholders, including follow-ups as necessary.
  • Maintain a pleasant and professional relationship with patients and fellow staff.
  • Prepare and keep treatment areas clean and organized, ensuring all equipment is sanitized after each use.
  • Comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity, observing and recording patient progress or changes.
Qualifications
  • No required education or experience necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ideal candidate will be pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree.
