Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Technician plays a vital role in the success of Team Rehabilitation. This position is responsible for providing essential support to patients, ensuring they receive the necessary care to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Providing High-Quality Treatment
    • Welcome and comfort patients to prepare them for physical therapy
    • Display excellent customer service skills and provide encouragement when appropriate
  • Follow the Plan of Care
    • Follow the plan of care established for the patient by the therapist
  • Support Patient Success
    • Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks and accommodate patient needs
    • Educate patients on equipment usage, ensuring safe and correct application
    • Assist patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques
    • Apply therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation
    • Provide assistance with walking and ensure patient safety
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Maintain effective communication with patients, physicians, and staff members
    • Ensure 360-degree communication and follow-ups as needed
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization
    • Sanitize equipment after each use
    • Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
    • Maintain productivity and observe patient progress
Requirements
  • No required education or experience necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ideal candidate will be pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree
  • Commitment to Team's initiative of making Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion a priority
