Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Technician plays a vital role in our team's success, supporting patients in achieving their recovery objectives and improving their well-being. As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will assist in providing high-quality treatment, ensuring patients receive the necessary support to reach their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Assist therapists in providing a high-quality treatment experience, focusing on welcoming and comforting patients to prepare them for physical therapy.
  • Display exceptional customer service skills, providing encouragement and support to patients as needed.
  • Follow established plans of care, ensuring patients receive the necessary support to achieve their recovery objectives.
  • Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks, accommodating and supporting patients' success in therapy.
  • Educate patients on equipment usage, ensuring safe and correct operation.
  • Assist patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation, as directed by therapists.
  • Provide assistance with patient mobility, using proper techniques to ensure safety.
  • Maintain open communication with patients, physicians, staff, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and maintain a positive, professional relationship with patients and colleagues.
  • Ensure treatment areas are clean, organized, and sanitized, adhering to all procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity, observing and recording patient progress and changes.
Requirements
  • No required education or experience necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ideal candidate will be pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree.
