Job Overview

Catholic Charities is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Worker to join our team. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Estimated Salary: $45,000-$55,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including meal planning and preparation, personal care, and mobility assistance.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  • Document individual progress and data in Therap, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and medical professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree preferred or High school Diploma with 2 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  2. Medication Administration Certification required; ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  3. Demonstrates organizational ability, effective communication, and empathy towards individuals served.
  4. Applicants subject to criminal and driving history background checks.
