Job Overview

This listing is for multiple positions that vary from full-time to part-time, including 1ST ,2ND AND 3RD SHIFT. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct care in a residential group home, adhering to CCARC policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess fluency or moderate experience in American Sign Language (ASL), a high school diploma/GED, and a valid driver's license. Previous experience working in a transitional program is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing effective and respectful communication with team members, family members, guardians, DDS, and external healthcare providers
  • Assisting with personal care, hygiene, and treatments, including administration of medications and recording vital signs
  • Coordinating and leading social and recreational activities, as well as shopping for food and clothing
  • Nutritional support: Monitoring residents at mealtime according to food consistency guidelines for each individual

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $19.25 per hour, plus benefits, including medical, dental, basic life, voluntary life, and LTD insurance. All scheduled employees are eligible to participate in the 401k retirement plan.

Work Environment:

The work location is Kensington, CT, with some required and paid trainings at Slater Road in New Britain, CT.
