Catholic Charities is seeking a dedicated Direct Service Worker to join our team in New Britain, CT.

Job Summary:

">

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and/or physical disabilities in a residential setting.

">

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Treat individuals with respect, dignity, and compassion at all times">
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including cleaning and maintaining the home, and assisting with meal preparation, leisure activities, and social opportunities">
  • Document individual progress, needs, and barriers to progress, and complete comprehensive documentation">
  • Attend and successfully complete mandatory trainings and meetings, and maintain medical certification">
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard individuals' private information">
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management individually or as part of a team">

Requirements:

">
  • High school diploma with 2 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (AA/AS preferred)">
  • Must have medical certification or be able to obtain it upon hire">
  • Demonstrates organizational ability, communicates effectively, and meets qualifications listed below">
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license with no more than 2 violations in a three-year period, subject to review">

Salary:$16 per hour, 16 hours/week, Sunday-Monday 2pm-10pm. Estimated annual salary: $33,216-$43,728 based on 40 hours/week, depending on the specific schedule and number of hours worked.
