Assistant Store Manager (Full-Time)
OVERVIEW:
The Assistant Store Manager will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to inspire and lead their team towards achieving sales and profitability goals, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining all visual and operational standards set by South Lunar, Inc. This role is pivotal in enhancing business performance through strategic product placement and upkeep of the store environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently achieve or surpass the financial and operational targets of the store.
- Share accountability with the Store Manager for the store's profitability.
- Execute all opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with daily checklists.
- Meet or exceed shrinkage targets by adhering to robust loss prevention protocols and conducting audits.
- Assist in upholding the store's visual merchandising standards.
- Lead and inspire the store team, acting as a proactive mentor and problem solver.
- Utilize available training resources to ensure consistent staff development.
- Exemplify brand aesthetics and maintain a strong sense of fashion with a positive demeanor.
- Perform additional tasks related to the qualifications and requirements of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a management-level role within a specialty retail environment is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and POS systems.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Solid mathematical skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Travel may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To fulfill the essential functions of this role, an employee must be able to meet the following physical demands: frequently stand, talk, or hear; occasionally sit, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
