About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Contigo Catering. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the planning, execution, and development of our pastry menus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation and execution of pastry menus for events and catering services
  • Manage inventory and ordering of pastry-related ingredients and supplies
  • Lead by example, maintaining a high standard of quality and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sales Team to develop unique menus and pricing strategies
  • Prepare and plate pastries for tastings and events
  • Develop and maintain a recipe database and menu planning system
  • Assist with event production and working events, including setup, execution, and breakdown
Requirements
  • 3+ years of pastry experience; 5+ years of professional cooking experience
  • Demonstrated experience of quality and consistency
  • Exceptional organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computing skills, including Google Drive and Microsoft Office
  • Passion for good food and drink, events that inspire, and a volition to provide Texas-style hospitality
