Job Summary

MNS Engineers Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Manager to lead our Construction Management Department in the Southern California region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, staff development, and business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide program-level leadership for the Construction Management Department, focusing on business development, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve market sector financial performance metrics.
  • Serve as a Project Manager on projects as needed, utilizing effective communication skills to ensure quality, timeliness, and profitability.
  • Supervise and direct CM project staff and teams in the Transportation division.
  • Manage projects with efficient delivery and high-quality standards.
  • Lead planning and scheduling efforts for multiple project integration.
  • Guide the development of CM subprograms.
  • Assist with significant program positioning and proposal efforts.
  • Interface with Headquarters and Business Development staff to identify and track business opportunities.
  • Attend industry events and conferences for client networking purposes.
  • Visit clients to position for upcoming work.
  • Strengthen business development activities, including proposal preparation, interviews, and project contracting/setup processes.
  • Engage and promote staff to execute strategic staffing activities and recruitment efforts.
  • Monitor and take responsibility for profitability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • California registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Valid California Class C driver's license and an insurable driver's record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 15 years of industry experience with increasing levels of knowledge, responsibility, and leadership requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn and utilize Deltek Vision software.
  • Interacts well with other staff.
