We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at PCL Construction. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support for large or complex construction projects.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of project safety plans and create a positive safety culture on site.
  • Ensure projects are constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
  • Understand client drivers and offer value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
  • Accountable for project performance and review performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
  • Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments, and monitor their progress and schedule.
  • Understand, communicate, and proactively manage contracts and contract documents.
  • Develop and coordinate overall project commissioning and closeout.
  • Identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
  • Supervise, direct, coach, train, and mentor project teams, including direct and indirect reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of progressive construction experience, with leadership and mentoring skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, including diverse project types, building materials, construction specifications, methods, and procedures, construction law, and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
  • Superior planning, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to manage project budgets, risks, resources, and schedules.
  • Ability to monitor and forecast project resources and staffing for the project.
  • Ability to identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Experience in leading a team, construction project facets, and trade performance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management, and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
