Position Overview

Salary:
CCAR is seeking to employ full-time Recovery Support Specialists to deliver recovery support services in selected healthcare facilities and community wellness environments, acting as a motivator, resource facilitator, and intermediary.

The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep commitment to collaborating with individuals in recovery. A valid driver's license, insurance, and a dependable vehicle are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver recovery support primarily in healthcare facilities and community wellness environments.

• Collaborate closely with personnel and staff from healthcare and community wellness providers.

• Facilitate prompt referrals and placements to treatment and recovery support services.

• Connect individuals in recovery to a broader network of care.

• Conduct follow-up support with individuals in recovery as needed.

• Engage in recovery planning with individuals in recovery.

• Educate and assist family members as requested.

• Act as a recovery ambassador.

• Advocate for the mission and services of CCAR.

• Participate in ongoing training, education, and performance support for recovery coaches.

• Maintain documentation and record-keeping as required by CCAR, healthcare facilities, and/or community wellness providers.

• Travel may be necessary.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

• Experience with the addiction recovery process.

• Knowledge of medication-assisted recovery and related practices.

• Familiarity with local support services, resources, and the recovery community.

• Ability to establish an effective coach-individual relationship.

• Proven skills in active listening, asking insightful questions, self-awareness, and treating individuals as valuable resources.

• Understanding of and ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

• Capability to work within healthcare and community wellness settings.

• Flexibility to work various shifts as required.

• Cross-cultural competencies and experience with diverse populations.

• Bilingual skills are advantageous.

• A valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle are required.

• Strong customer service orientation is essential.

• Completion of the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy is required.

• Completion of Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches is preferred.

• Completion of Spirituality for Recovery Coaches is preferred.

• Completion of Recovery Coaching in Professional SettingsTM is preferred.

• Recovery Coach Professional (RCP) designation or in the process of obtaining it.

The Recovery Support Specialist position is a full-time non-exempt hourly role (35 hours/week). Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule.
