Behavioral Support Specialist

Vinfen is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Residential Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our residential support staff, you will provide direct support to individuals with behavioral conditions, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and brain injuries in a small group residential setting or an individual living arrangement.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP) and implement treatment plans to promote the recovery and well-being of our clients.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as household chores and cooking, to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
- Provide transportation on outings, such as shopping and doctor's appointments, to strengthen residents' connection to their community.
- Model skills for program staff and assist in ensuring that new staff are properly trained, onboarded, and welcomed into the program.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a Residential Counselor role, with a demonstrated track record as an exceptional performer and team-player.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US driver's license for at least one year.
- Must be able to become CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care certified within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certified within 150 days of employment.
- Must be able to successfully pass a CORI and SORI reference, multi-state background and driving record check.
