Compensation:

  • The salary range provided applies to both job titles.
  • Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $600 for the Senior Medical Laboratory Technician role or $800 for the Medical Technologist role.

We are looking for a Senior Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist - Generalist to:

  • Conduct testing in clinical laboratories across various complexities.
  • Execute advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem-solving tasks.
  • Exhibit strong decision-making capabilities, work independently, and undertake teaching or training responsibilities as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member, fostering positive relationships with physicians, clinic staff, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum - An associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology, or equivalent education and training, including 60 semester hours with:

24 semester hours in medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours in science courses.

Preferred - A bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology, which must include at least 60 semester hours, comprising:

24 semester hours in medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours with 6 in chemistry, 6 in biology, and 12 in any combination of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology.

Work Experience:

Minimum -

For the Senior Medical Laboratory Technician role, at least one year of experience in performing moderate and some high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory, along with successful completion of competency assessment; or two years of experience in a clinical laboratory.

For the Medical Technologist role, no minimum work experience is required.
