We are looking for a Senior Medical Lab Technician or Medical Technologist - Generalist to:

  • Conduct testing in clinical laboratories across various complexities.
  • Execute advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem-solving tasks.
  • Exhibit strong decision-making abilities, work independently, and take on teaching and training responsibilities as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinic staff, and colleagues, demonstrating good interpersonal relations.

Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum: An associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology, or equivalent education and training, including 60 semester hours with:

24 semester hours in medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours in science courses.

Preferred: A bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology, including at least 60 semester hours with:

24 semester hours in medical laboratory technology courses or a combination of 24 semester hours - 6 in chemistry, 6 in biology, and 12 in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology.

Work Experience:

Minimum:

For Senior Medical Laboratory Technician: One (1) year of experience in moderate and some high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory, with successful completion of competency assessment; or two (2) years in a clinical laboratory.

For Medical Technologist: No minimum work experience required.
