Certification Requirements

Position Overview
  • Travelers are prioritized for floating shifts across various units based on staffing needs.
  • If the primary unit's requirements change, shifts will be reassigned to ensure contract completion.
  • The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) conducts essential diagnostic testing and supports laboratory services.
  • Testing responsibilities may encompass multiple laboratory areas, including hematology, urinalysis, and chemistry.
  • Minimal interpretation and judgment are necessary for executing analytical processes.
  • With experience, individuals enhance their skills in routine interpretive testing and validating test results.
  • Responsibilities may also involve phlebotomy, specimen handling, basic calibration monitoring, and equipment maintenance.
  • Equipment troubleshooting is straightforward, and maintenance tasks are manageable.
  • Complex issues are escalated to senior staff for resolution.
  • Technicians operate independently under the general oversight of a laboratory manager.
Job Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or relevant laboratory experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Pediatric/Adult Phlebotomy is essential.
  • Candidates must have a permanent residence outside a specified radius.
  • Prior experience in travel assignments is advantageous.
  • Two recent references from supervisors or managers in relevant work environments are required.
