Job Overview

This role plays a pivotal part in driving business growth by harnessing the power of machine learning and big data. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with machine learning experts and engineering teams to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge machine learning models, algorithms, and applications. Your work will involve conducting experiments, providing predictive insights, and contributing to the design and implementation of backend tooling that supports these features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and implement suitable machine learning algorithms and tools to drive business outcomes
  • Design and execute machine learning experiments to inform data-driven decisions
  • Select and prepare relevant datasets and data representation methods to support model development
  • Develop machine learning applications that meet business requirements and deliver high-quality results
  • Monitor and optimize the performance and quality of our models, services, and tools to ensure they meet business needs
Requirements
  • Proven experience in creating machine learning and AI-based applications and systems
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in machine learning and AI
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field (MS and above preferred)
  • General software development experience, including architecture design, programming, testing, and deployment
  • Experience in creating custom machine learning solutions, including knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, clustering techniques, neural networks, and deep learning methods
  • Experience in data curation, cleaning, storage, management, and governance
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative team environments with both local and remote colleagues
  • Must be eligible for and maintain a Secret Clearance
Desired Skills
  • Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as NumPy, Matplotlib, and Keras/TensorFlow or other ML stacks
  • Experience with C++, C#, and SQL
  • ETL experience, including working with Postgres and other relational databases, CSV file import, and Unicode (UTF-8) and JSON
  • Linux experience, including working with filesystems, moving data, backups, and scripting
  • Proficiency in command line environments, including bash on Linux and PowerShell on Windows
  • Experience with Visual Studio, PyCharm, or similar IDEs
  • Experience with version control systems, including Git and other data versioning tools
  • Familiarity with Jenkins
