Job Title: Machine Learning Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Support Engineer to join our team at MI Technical Solutions. As a key member of our machine learning team, you will play a critical role in implementing machine learning and big data solutions that drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Curation and Maintenance: Support the curation, maintenance, and production processing of collected datasets to ensure high-quality data for machine learning models.
  • User Interface Development: Design and develop user interfaces for data gathering and review to enable efficient and accurate data collection.
  • Machine Learning Application Development: Develop machine learning applications according to requirements, leveraging expertise in machine learning and big data solutions.
  • Experimentation and Testing: Run machine learning tests and experiments to optimize model performance and data quality.
  • Quality and Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize the quality and performance of our data collections, models, services, and tools to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
Requirements:
  • Machine Learning Expertise: Proven experience in creating machine learning and AI-based applications and systems, with a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, SQL, and JavaScript, with experience in data curation, cleaning, storage, management, and governance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative team environments, with both local and remote colleagues, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Clearance: Must be eligible for and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
  • ETL Experience: Experience working with Postgres and various other relational databases, csv file import, working with Unicode (UTF-8) and Json.
  • Linux Experience: Experience working with filesystems, moving data, backups, and scripting.
  • Command Line Environments: Experience with bash on Linux and PowerShell on Windows.
  • IDE and Version Control: Experience with Visual Studio, PyCharm or similar IDE, and version control systems including Git and other data versioning tools.
  • Rapid Development Tools: Familiarity with rapid development (no code) tools like Retool.
  • Jenkins: Familiarity with Jenkins.
