JOB TITLE: Operations Director

GENERAL JOB OVERVIEW

This role involves overseeing the daily management of a district comprising multiple dining establishments, alongside supervising a District Manager responsible for additional locations. Collectively, you will be accountable for the operational performance of numerous restaurants. You will drive revenue growth and profitability by enhancing customer satisfaction and effectively managing human resources. Your leadership will foster employee development and ensure a culture of excellence within the organization. You will strive to meet all objectives while adhering to company standards and ethical practices, creating an environment that aims to 'Delight Every Customer.'

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Development

Ensure optimal staffing levels are maintained, promoting a diverse management team. Oversee crew and management labor availability, while implementing a continuous recruitment, recognition, and retention strategy for restaurant management. Formulate staffing plans to ensure management stability and facilitate performance evaluations and feedback. Cultivate the potential of team members to enhance their contributions and prepare them for future advancement. Provide comprehensive training and development for restaurant management through established systems. Guide District Managers to elevate operational performance, directly mentoring one to enhance their knowledge of operational systems and improve overall customer satisfaction scores.

Customer Experience Excellence

Ensure compliance with food safety protocols in accordance with company policies and health regulations, taking corrective actions as necessary. Conduct regular visits to restaurants at all management levels to promote continuous improvement in quality, service, and cleanliness standards across all meal periods, ensuring adherence to 'Delight Every Customer' principles. Safeguard the brand and company assets by ensuring district compliance with policies and procedures, evaluating performance at regular intervals and providing coaching as needed.

Revenue and Profit Maximization

Drive sales performance against budget and previous years, overseeing the execution of national and local marketing initiatives. Develop localized marketing strategies for restaurants. Optimize profit margins in relation to budget and historical performance, regularly reviewing restaurant budgets and monitoring food and labor costs to implement necessary corrective actions. Leverage strong operational knowledge, budgeting, and administrative procedures to enhance sales growth and conduct cost analysis for profitability. Mentor team members to understand business operations and identify areas for improvement, teaching them to leverage strengths for success. Engage in strategic planning initiatives that influence operational markets. Perform additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High School diploma is mandatory. A college degree is preferred. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Experience:

Extensive experience in restaurant operations and multi-unit management is essential; equivalent education and experience will also be considered.

Additional Qualifications:

Ability to learn and apply company standard operating procedures. Familiarity with HR policies and procedures. Proficiency in P&L analysis and implementing corrective measures. Proven supervisory skills. Experience in interviewing and identifying high-performing candidates. Knowledge of relevant employment laws. Capability to execute training and development practices. Strong computer skills are required. Completion of recommended training programs such as Serve Safe is necessary. Food Safety Certification is required.
