Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Night Auditor at Voco the Cadence plays a vital role in delivering outstanding guest service and ensuring a remarkable experience for all visitors. This position involves managing guest interactions, facilitating check-ins and check-outs, and providing comprehensive support throughout the guests' stay. The Night Auditor collaborates closely with various hotel departments to guarantee a smooth operation of guest services. In addition, this role is responsible for accurately balancing and reconciling daily financial transactions while addressing any guest inquiries or concerns during the overnight shift.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time hourly position within the hospitality sector, offering a competitive pay range of $15.50 to $17 per hour. Employees will receive weekly payments and are eligible for a variety of benefits, including healthcare, paid time off, and discounts at IHG hotels globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nightly audits and reconcile all accounts to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage all cash, check, and credit card transactions during overnight hours.
  • Assist guests with check-ins and check-outs, addressing any inquiries or requests they may have.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to provide a seamless guest experience.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Monitor the hotel's security systems and respond to any issues that arise.
  • Prepare daily reports and distribute them to relevant departments.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Front Office Manager or General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality roles is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly with hotel reservation systems.
  • Some college coursework in hospitality or accounting is preferred.
  • Experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills are required.
  • Familiarity with Opera PMS system is beneficial.
  • Must be able to work overnight shifts and weekends.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds.
