Job Summary

To provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, utilizing expertise in OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular superficial structures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing diagnostic procedures, utilizing knowledge and skills required for the age of the patient served, including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations.
  • Communication with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assisting patients and transporting them as needed.
  • Exam review, filing, and restocking supplies.
  • Quality assurance functions and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonographer program or 2 years of previous ultrasound experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certificate in OB-GYN or abdomen required at hire from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Sonography technologist license (Oregon) and basic life support certification within 1 month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing ultrasound exams, preferably within the last 3 years.
  • Vascular ultrasonographer experience preferred.
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical skills.
