Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular exams
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings and techniques as needed to optimize image quality
  • Position patients comfortably and safely for exams, ensuring proper alignment and positioning
  • Review and analyze ultrasound images, identifying any abnormalities or areas of concern
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to HIPAA and departmental policies
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest ultrasound technologies and techniques
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program
  • Registered Medical Sonographer (RMS) certification or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in diagnostic sonography
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS certification
  • Experience with ultrasound equipment and software
  • Knowledge of anatomy and pathology relevant to diagnostic sonography
