Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist to join our team in Clackamas, Oregon.

Job Summary

To provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular superficial structures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Performing diagnostic procedures using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served.
  • Communication with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assisting patients and transporting them as needed.
  • Exam review, file work, restocking supplies, and cleaning.
  • Quality Assurance functions and other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Ultrasonographer Program or 2 years of previous Ultrasound experience.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Ob-Gyn or Abdomen required at hire from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) and Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing Ultrasound exams, preferably within the last 3 years.
  • Vascular Ultrasonographer experience preferred.
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical skills.
