Job Overview

The Logistics and Inventory Specialist is essential to the smooth functioning of our production facility. This role encompasses the management of incoming materials, inventory organization, preparation of outgoing shipments, and meticulous documentation throughout the logistics process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials and supplies, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Verify received quantities against purchase orders and update inventory systems accordingly.
  • Maintain organized inventory storage areas for efficient access and stock rotation.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling items as per customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely logistics operations.
  • Generate necessary shipping documents and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Utilize logistics software to track shipments and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address any shipping or inventory-related challenges.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization in the shipping and receiving areas, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist in periodic inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous.
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
  • General knowledge of ERP systems is beneficial.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in English, with strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and inventory.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy materials and operate relevant equipment.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet operational demands.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse management.
