Job Overview

The Logistics and Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for preparing equipment for sale or installation and managing the flow of inventory throughout the entire process, including receiving and dispatching.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: The following qualifications are essential for performing the key functions of this role while exercising independent judgment:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Exceptional hand-eye coordination
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Foundational knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair of audio/visual systems and equipment
  • Able to lift and carry at least 60 pounds without assistance
  • Comfortable working at heights, including ladders and lifts
  • Proficient in driving larger vehicles such as cargo vans and box trucks
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Dante certification, level 1, is preferred
  • Additional audio/video certifications are advantageous
  • 1-3 years of experience in the audio, video, or related industry
  • Experience with soldering and terminating audio/visual connectors, including Cat5/6/7, NL4/2, BNC/RF, XLR/RCA/1/4"/1/8", etc.
  • Experience with fiber termination is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Receive purchased and transferred equipment for various projects
  • Prepare equipment for general sales and installation by the entire team
  • Ship equipment to clients and job sites
  • Inspect and test components of audio/visual systems, including mixing consoles (both digital and analog), amplifiers, speakers, microphones, video projectors, and control systems.
  • Install, terminate, and test all associated wiring, including networking (Cat5/6/7), speaker, and video wiring.
  • Assemble racks, build cables, and conduct testing
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers' installation manuals to complete assigned tasks.
  • Complete work orders, track hours worked per job, maintain inventory of equipment and hardware in vehicles and the shop, and document materials used on job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with national or local codes related to construction techniques, electrical installations, safety, etc.
  • Conduct service calls for existing clients.
  • Install equipment at client locations and engage with clients regarding their projects while on-site.
  • Assist with various duties in the entertainment division as assigned.
  • This position may require travel to job sites, which can be regional or national.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
