Position Purpose: Warehouse associates are integral to our operational success. They actively, safely, and independently facilitate the smooth flow of products through our distribution system while upholding quality standards. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will oversee and ensure the accuracy and sufficiency of inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for compiling and maintaining records of the quantity, type, and value of materials, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.
Specific Duties Include:
- Counting materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and updating total inventory records.
- Comparing physical inventories with office records or calculating figures from documentation.
- Verifying clerical calculations against physical counts and correcting discrepancies as needed.
- Compiling records of receipts or disbursements of materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.
- Monitoring inventory turnover and making recommendations as necessary.
- Preparing reports such as inventory balances, weekly cycle counts, and production summaries.
- Reviewing and analyzing daily reports.
- Maintaining shrinkage levels at or below company standards.
- Preparing lists of depleted items and recommending surveys of defective or unusable items.
- Performing other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 6+ months of inventory experience in a warehouse setting.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in mathematics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and intermediate computer skills.
- Availability to work scheduled shifts and required overtime.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Capability to lift, stack, and/or pull products from various heights, weighing between 10-35 pounds, and occasionally up to 60-90 pounds, depending on the location.
- Able to work in multi-temperature environments, including cooler, freezer, and dry areas.
- Must pass post-offer drug screening and background check.
