Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the State of Florida's skilled nursing facility. As a Senior Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to our veteran residents, ensuring their health, safety, and security in accordance with established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by the physician
  • Monitor and provide interventions to meet the needs of residents
  • Complete accurate clinical documentation reflective of resident's status
  • Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other supportive caregivers
  • Participate in team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans
Requirements
  • Licensure as a Practical Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process, including a Level II background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of experience in long-term care/120-bed skilled nursing facility, with a geriatric population
  • One (1) year of experience providing practical nursing services
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
