Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Front Office Developer to join our team. As a key member of our front office, you will be responsible for developing and supporting front office components and applications, primarily using Java, Python, and ION libraries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support front office components and applications using Java, Python, and ION libraries
  • Work with vendors and technology teams to resolve issues around platform availability, stp, price, and feeds (trade, position, price)
  • Test and deploy new platforms and functionality
  • Integrate vendor platforms with MUFG systems
  • Document workflows in Visio, Word, and Wiki

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • 2-5 years Java development experience, including multi-threading
  • 1-3 years ION experience
  • Prior experience supporting front office trading business
  • Ability to work independently and learn quickly
  • Hands-on knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux OS and scripting (sh, ksh, bash, bat)

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Fixed Income regulatory reporting, including TRACE
  • Hands-on knowledge of the Relational and/or No-SQL (Oracle, Sybase, MongoDB, etc)
  • JavaScript and/or Web development framework
  • Knowledge of Excel functions and macros
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income workflow
  • Experience working with mortgage products, including TBA, Pools, and CMO

Education

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation

The typical base pay range for this role is between $110K - $135K, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
