About the Role

Ryder Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic sales team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing new customer business within your assigned sales territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop pre-sales strategy for target accounts and create a sales activity pipeline to meet and exceed required quota revenues.
  • Represent the full spectrum of Ryder's services to new and potential customers, including our innovative outsourced solutions and industry-leading technology.
  • Work with our Account Relationship and Customer Development teams to transition accounts and increase sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our National Sales team to develop and generate sales opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Ensure new customer orientation is completed and develop account selling strategies to improve effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Finance and Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) years or more demonstrated consecutive sales excellence (quota achievement) in prior sales responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative, is self-motivated, and able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $58,000 to $60,000.
  • An annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on performance.
