Patient Services Representative II

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a skilled Patient Services Representative II to provide exceptional clerical support to our ambulatory care clinics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience, from initial contact to appointment completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide warm and professional greetings to patients and families, setting the tone for a positive experience.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling, confirmation, and pre-registration.
- Confirm referrals and authorizations, ensuring timely access to care.
- Collect co-pays and reconcile payments, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Monitor patient safety, cleanliness, and security, upholding the highest standards of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear understanding of clinic procedures and responsibilities.
- Accurately status appointments, differentiating between new, recheck, and no-show/cancellation.
- Check on patients waiting more than 10 minutes, providing timely updates on clinical progress.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, collaborating with department management to enhance services.
- Contribute to hospital-wide risk management programs, prioritizing patient and visitor safety.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer systems, including scheduling, appointment cancellation, and order entry.
- Report concerns to immediate supervisors, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Prepare and submit End of Day reports, implementing Nemours' No Show Policy.
- Manage inventory of clerical supplies, maintaining a well-stocked and organized workspace.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or physician's office setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
