Job Summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative II, Orthopedics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our outpatient services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding service to each patient and family by performing and completing designated business processes associated with an outpatient visit.
  • Ensure Patient Safety and Security: Monitor the waiting room and work environment to ensure patient safety and high service levels.
  • Communicate Effectively: Greet and communicate with each patient and family at the start of their outpatient visit and at each interaction using AIDET protocol.
  • Accomplish Tasks: Complete tasks that are part of the Nemours' outpatient appointment business functions prior to and at the time of appointment check-in, visit, and check-out.
  • Reconcile Payments: Accurately reconcile payment collections at the end of each shift, as per Cash Collections Policy.
  • Complete Reports: Complete End of Day (EOD) Reports, including DCRF and LDCRS.
  • Maintain Competency: Maintain computer and electronic system competency, including processes for scheduling, appointment cancellations, and order entry for clinical systems.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of clerical supplies and ensure the work environment and outpatient waiting room is in an orderly and clean condition.
Requirements
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent required. One year of training beyond high school required.
  • Experience: One-three years of experience required.
  • Skills: Experience in word-processing, databases, and spreadsheets required.
