Position: Senior Project Engineer - Advanced Programs

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Employment Type: Full Time / Long Term Contract

Role Overview:

The TPE331 Turboprop Project Engineering team is in search of a Senior Project Engineer to assist in the development and publication of technical documents, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards alongside our FAA organization and other assigned TPE331 projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility includes authoring critical documents such as engine maintenance manuals (EMM), overhaul manuals (OHM), inspection/repair manuals (IRM), service bulletins (SB), and other technical documentation to support the airworthiness of TPE331 engine models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to strategize, implement revisions, and lead initiatives within TPE331 Technical Publications until completion.
  • Engage with FAA-ODA, Customer and Product Support (C&PS), Repair and Overhaul, and various Engineering departments to guarantee technical precision.
  • Manage the prioritization of legacy publications and anticipated manual updates.
  • Provide updated timelines and monitor progress to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Communicate status updates to both internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, suppliers, certification authorities, and different levels of management regarding specific technical publication documents.

  • Manage costs and budgets, including the development of estimates and project planning.
  • Develop technical requirements and ensure project performance and execution.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Interface with vendors and manage technical requirements.
  • Present project plans and updates to customers, operators, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience in the design, development, manufacturing, and/or testing of gas turbine engines or similarly complex mechanical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with gas turbine engine maintenance procedures.
  • Direct experience with the TPE331 turboprop engine is advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing time and resources.
  • Proven capability to manage customer relationships and communicate effectively.
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams in a matrix organization to achieve technical goals under strict deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead teams toward resolution of complex challenges.
  • Capacity to build and maintain strong business relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
