Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Reliability Engineering Services will spearhead the strategy and operations of the Reliability Engineering Services team. This role involves crafting innovative strategies and operational frameworks to deliver exceptional services, including reliability consulting, remote monitoring, analytics, and on-site support, aimed at enhancing customers' Maintenance & Reliability practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership to the Reliability Engineering Services team, managing global resources effectively.
  • Formulate and implement a strategic plan to develop and enhance differentiated service offerings within the Perceptiv Reliability Engineering Services.
  • Design service offerings tailored to specific market segments, focusing on value positioning, service scope, collateral, and pricing strategies.
  • Oversee the delivery of consulting, educational, and implementation services, ensuring successful project execution and operational metrics are met.
  • Accountable for achieving financial objectives related to services, including orders, revenue, gross margin, and employee utilization.
  • Manage operational metrics such as time-to-value, customer satisfaction, and timely project completion.
  • Build and scale global service operations, ensuring a premier customer experience through effective methodologies.
  • Coordinate the services team to execute customer projects safely and successfully.
  • Contribute to marketing communications by generating content for collateral, white papers, and promotional videos.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to develop a multi-year roadmap for integrating predictive and prescriptive analytics into the Perceptiv platform.
  • Participate as a member of the Perceptiv leadership team to foster growth in this dynamic sector.
  • Devise strategies that disrupt the market and distinctly position Perceptiv's reliability services.
  • Act as the representative for reliability services within the company and industry.
  • Oversee the generation of diagnostics and monitoring reports for stakeholders, which includes analyzing vibration and torque data with actionable recommendations.
  • Create presentations detailing solutions, applications, projects, and customer success stories for various audiences.
  • Lead the development of documentation and programs related to Perceptiv Services solutions, including case studies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; advanced degrees such as MS or MBA are advantageous.
  • Over 10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with a focus on rotating machinery and industrial networking.
  • More than 10 years of reliability experience across diverse industries.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a Professional Services organization.
  • Proven expertise in various sensing modalities (e.g., vibration, current, torque).
  • In-depth reliability knowledge in key industries such as Food & Beverage, Metals, and Mining.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams, including reliability engineers and project managers.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling a professional services business with financial accountability.
  • Familiarity with analog signal processing and Criticality Analysis is preferred.
  • Experience in developing analytical tools to automate reliability reporting.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills with a focus on service excellence and customer needs.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial reliability metrics such as cost avoidance and unplanned downtime.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Vibration Analyst are a plus.
  • Strong collaboration and analytical skills, with a focus on talent development.
  • Willingness to travel up to 35%.
