Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Reliability Engineering Services will take charge of steering the strategy, operations, and team for Reliability Engineering Services. This role is pivotal in crafting approaches and processes to deliver exceptional services, including reliability consulting, remote monitoring, analytics, and on-site support, aimed at enhancing clients' Maintenance & Reliability excellence practices. The individual will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Leadership teams to formulate a cohesive strategy that integrates our services with platform initiatives, including providing service insights through our Perceptiv platform and transitioning predictive and prescriptive reliability insights into the Perceptiv Platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership to the Reliability Engineering Services team, managing global resources effectively.
  • Design and implement a strategic plan to develop and enhance Perceptiv Reliability Engineering Services, focusing on differentiated service offerings and a clear roadmap.
  • Establish service offerings tailored to specific market segments, ensuring alignment in value positioning, service scope, collateral, and pricing.
  • Oversee the delivery of consulting, educational, and implementation services to clients, ensuring resource management, project execution, and achievement of operational success metrics.
  • Be accountable for financial performance metrics of Services, including orders, revenue, gross margin, and employee utilization.
  • Manage operational metrics such as time-to-value, customer satisfaction, and timely project completion.
  • Develop and scale global service operations, encompassing people, processes, systems, and tools, to provide a superior customer experience while establishing effective delivery methodologies.
  • Coordinate the services team to ensure safe and successful execution of customer projects for on-site services.
  • Contribute to marketing communications by generating content for collateral, white papers, and videos in conjunction with relevant campaigns and service productization.
  • Work with Product Management and Engineering teams to create a multi-year roadmap for integrating Reliability Engineering predictive and prescriptive analytics into the Perceptiv platform.
  • Participate as a member of the Perceptiv leadership team to support the growth and development of this expanding area.
  • Devise innovative strategies that disrupt the market and distinctly position Perceptiv, including formulating a long-term vision and strategy for reliability services.
  • Act as the representative for reliability services within the company and industry for Perceptiv.
  • Oversee the function responsible for generating diagnostics and monitoring reports for end users and stakeholders, which includes analyzed data with prescriptive recommendations.
  • Create presentations regarding our solutions, applications, projects, products, customer success stories, and strategies, and deliver them in person and virtually at various venues.
  • Lead the development of documentation and programs related to Perceptiv Services solutions and their application, including case studies, best practices, and instructional materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred; an MS or MBA is advantageous.
  • Over 10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, particularly with rotating machinery, remote condition monitoring, and industrial networking & controls.
  • More than 10 years of industrial reliability experience across diverse industries and applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing and leading a Professional Services organization.
  • Proven expertise in various sensing modalities (e.g., vibration, current, torque) and their applications.
  • Extensive experience and reliability knowledge in targeted industries such as Food & Beverage, Intralogistics, Metals, Mining, and Heavy Industry.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations, industrial machinery, and maintenance best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team of cross-functional professionals, including reliability engineers and project managers.
  • Experience in establishing and scaling a professional services business with financial accountability, preferably in a subscription-based model.
  • Familiarity with analog signal processing and Criticality Analysis is preferred.
  • Experience in developing analytical tools to automate reliability reporting for improved efficiency.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with a focus on service excellence and the ability to create effective service packages and standards.
  • Knowledge of key industrial reliability metrics, including cost avoidance and unplanned downtime.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Vibration Analyst are a plus.
  • Strong collaboration, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed team environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a commitment to talent development and organizational culture.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 35% of the time.
