POSITION SUMMARY:

The Greater Missoula Family YMCA Learning Center is seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and reliable lead educator who is passionate about engaging with children aged 3-4 in a high-quality educational setting.

The Lead Educator will be responsible for planning and executing daily activities for pre-kindergarten children.

This role includes overseeing the educational curriculum and environment, ensuring a high-quality, developmentally suitable experience that caters to the needs of both children and their families.


We are looking for a lead educator with one of the following qualifications:

a minimum of two years' experience in a licensed childcare setting; a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Psychology with relevant coursework in child development; or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to thrive in a non-profit community service environment and work independently.

Education/Certification

Required - Either two years' experience in a licensed facility, or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Psychology with coursework in child development, or a CDA

Required - Must have current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain within the first 30 days of employment

Experience - 1-2 years of childcare experience or working with children preferred
