Position Overview

The Catering Server will deliver exceptional service to guests in a dynamic and high-energy setting.

Part-Time Opportunities: Benefits include a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions.

Hourly compensation ranges from $14 to $16, plus tips.

OVG offers part-time, seasonal, and internship employees one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked, accumulating up to 48 hours annually.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute Banquet Event Orders accurately.
  • Capable of carrying a minimum of 8 entrees per tray.
  • Establish and maintain friendly, professional interactions with guests, ensuring their needs are anticipated and fulfilled.
  • Set up and manage food and beverage stations in various locations, adhering to OVG's service standards.
  • Oversee inventory for food and beverage stations.
  • Keep all event spaces and front-of-house areas organized and tidy.
  • Assist in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
  • Work independently during less busy periods.
  • Promote a safe and clean work environment.
  • Engage in high levels of social interaction, collaborating closely with staff and patrons.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in tasks.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Handle and move objects as required.
  • Exhibit a customer-focused, positive, and professional demeanor.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Understand basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy items weighing up to 30 lbs, and frequently 15 lbs.
  • Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • Respond to basic inquiries or complaints from customers and community members.
Qualifications
  • Must be available for all scheduled events.
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in events, banquets, or food service is preferred.
  • Must be at least eighteen years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
