Job Title: Banquet Server

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Banquet Server to join our team at Oak View Group. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hospitality to our guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand Banquet Event Orders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Carry at least 8 entrees per tray with ease and efficiency.
  • Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests, anticipating and meeting their needs.
  • Setup and maintain food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building, adhering to OVG standards of service.
  • Maintain and inventory food and beverage stations to ensure optimal service.
  • Maintain all event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner.
  • Participate in setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
  • Work independently during slower times, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Perform safe work by contributing to a safe and clean work environment.
  • Interact with staff and patrons frequently, requiring a high level of social contact.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete work.
  • Multitask effectively to meet the demands of the role.
  • Handle and move objects with ease, up to 30 lbs. and 15 lbs. frequently.
  • Exhibit a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude at all times.
  • Read and communicate effectively in the English language, both orally and in writing.
  • Apply basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to perform tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Availability to work all scheduled events.
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED, with strong preference for equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants, with preference for equivalent experience.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic drinks.
