Job Title: Memory Care Activities Assistant

Join our team at Fieldstone at Chester Springs, a compassionate senior living community dedicated to providing purposeful and engaging experiences for our memory care residents.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Memory Care Activities Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our activities team, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing activities that promote physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being for our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and conducting programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Encourage and support residents in participating in activities, fostering a sense of community and social connection.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of activities and events.
  • Oversee the daily care of animals and plants within the activities program.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of activity supplies, games, and programming materials.
  • Help manage volunteer staff and coordinate with them to ensure successful events.
  • Meet with new residents to introduce them to the activities program and provide a warm welcome.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events, posting and distributing it to residents and staff.
  • Distribute the community newsletter and ensure its timely publication.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to three years' experience preferred in assisted living, long-term care, or experience/exposure to the senior population.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, speaking the primary language of the residents.
  • Ability to use software to design calendars and signs, use email, and the Internet.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
