Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Staff Development to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a Director of Staff Development, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of training and education programs to ensure staff compliance and development at our large Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living Senior Care Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Consult with and among departments as needed to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Coordinate and support cross continuum of quality efforts through organizational development
  • Maintain pertinent data around staff immunization tracking
  • Participate in the Safety Committee to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Demonstrate dedication to employee engagement and development
  • Participate in on-call rotation(s) as needed
Requirements
  • Current MN RN license or by start date
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Windows and electronic charting systems
  • ANACC Certification in Gerontology (preferred)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with residents, families, and physicians or providers
  • Ability to work with and have sensitivity to the needs of the geriatric population
