At MedStar Health, we are seeking an experienced Medical Program Coordinator to lead our Bloodless Medicine program. This role plays a vital part in planning, developing, and implementing the program, ensuring seamless coordination with various departments and patient care units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Practice: Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, family members, and staff, discussing and documenting clinical alternatives that cater to patient needs.
  • Clinical Practice: Collaborate with cooperating physicians to find and schedule appointments for patients.
  • Clinical Practice: Monitor patients on an ongoing basis, collecting relevant data using an approved tool.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with peers, physicians, visitors, and other departments to facilitate patient care.
  • Leadership: Support unit and organizational goals for the program's fulfillment, delegating and supervising nursing staff as needed.

This position requires a strong background in critical care nursing, with 3-4 years of experience preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required, with a Master's degree being highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
