Aquatic Program Coordinator Opportunity

The Y of Central Maryland is seeking an experienced and passionate Aquatic Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our aquatic staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality swim lessons and programs to our community.

About the Role:

  • Teach swim lessons to children and adults of all ages and skill levels.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all swimmers during lessons and maintain a clean and organized pool area.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as program planning, registration, and communication with parents and guardians.
  • Promote participation in our swimming programs and services through outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with other aquatic staff members to ensure seamless delivery of programs and services.

Requirements:

  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in an aquatic setting.
  • Current CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certification (or O2 within 30 days of hire).
  • Preferred Lifeguard certification.
  • Flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and adapt to changing situations.
