Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager/Estimator. This role involves overseeing and coordinating electrical construction projects, ensuring optimal use of resources, and fostering customer satisfaction while enhancing productivity and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate logs for change orders, subcontractors, RFIs, and contingencies.
  • Collaborate with the Labor Superintendent to implement the labor strategy effectively.
  • Develop MEP schedules and manpower loading charts for all projects.
  • Deliver precise and timely estimates and change order proposals.
  • Engage with purchasing and subcontractors to confirm schedules, scopes, and pricing.
  • Promote a culture of safety on all job sites.
  • Address customer needs to encourage repeat business.
  • Manage both Design Build and Bid Spec projects.
  • Estimate a variety of electrical projects, including public, private, and design-build contracts.
  • Support Electrical Engineering and provide consultation as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in managing commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects with budgets ranging from $100K to $10M.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical coordination.
  • Experience in project financial tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to monitor labor performance to assess productivity and project progress.
  • Proficient in generating and updating construction schedules.
  • Skilled in interpreting plans and specifications for material ordering and change order estimation.
  • Capability to order, track, and expedite MEP and specialty items for timely project delivery.
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects is a plus.
