Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Services Program Branch Manager to join our team at the Department for Medicaid Services. As a key member of our Division of Quality and Population Health, you will play a critical role in improving the health of Kentucky Medicaid recipients by monitoring and addressing current practices and their effects on individual health.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement equity-related goals and objectives in collaboration with department and division stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to branch operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure successful branch operations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies to identify and address the needs of individuals that go beyond healthcare, promoting a holistic approach to health and well-being.
  • Develop and implement innovative reporting processes to identify barriers to healthcare, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Represent the division and/or department in meetings, conferences, and webinars, providing expert knowledge and insights on equity-related initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the administration of human services programs, emergency management services, emergency medical technician, paramedic, or related field.
  • Master's degree in social work, health administration, labor relations, public or business administration, or related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
  • Administrative or business experience, or professional, subprofessional, or clerical work in a human services area, emergency management services, emergency medical technician, paramedic, or related field may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title typically perform duties in an office setting.

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS.
