The Kentucky Personnel Cabinet is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Human Services Program Branch Manager. This position is essential in overseeing the operations of the Equity and Determinants of Health Branch within the Division of Quality and Population Health. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing health outcomes for Medicaid recipients across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the formulation, oversight, and management of equity-focused objectives for the department and division.
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures relevant to branch operations.
3. Supervise and coordinate the activities of all personnel within the branch.
4. Conduct recruitment and interview processes, establish and deliver necessary training programs, and perform regular performance evaluations.
5. Collaborate with various teams and agencies to monitor and track equity-related initiatives.
6. Create, implement, and assess innovative reporting mechanisms aimed at identifying barriers to healthcare access.
7. Prepare presentations and represent the division in meetings, conferences, and webinars as required.
8. Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience in Medicaid, Medicare, or healthcare sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in task completion.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups and teams.
- Strong leadership skills with the capability to motivate and coordinate staff efforts.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- A commitment to mentoring and supporting staff development.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: Five years of professional experience in managing human services programs or related fields.
Working Conditions:
Incumbents typically perform duties in an office environment. This position may require participation in a probationary period as outlined by relevant regulations.
