Job SummaryThe Human Services Surveyor position conducts annual on-site visits to licensed childcare providers to ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure with time restraints.
Responsibilities- Conduct unannounced inspections for licensed, certified, and registered providers for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Perform a thorough review of children and staff files.
- Review of policies and procedures.
- Inspect facility buildings and their contents.
- Requires regional travel with some over-nights.
- Interview staff and collaterals as part of the investigative process.
- Write reports with proper grammatical usage.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to interpret and apply Kentucky Statutes and Regulations.
- Computer skills to include, but not limited to- Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and internet-based software.
- Ability to work under pressure with time restraints.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Organization and time management skills.
- Experience with large caseloads.
Work is typically performed in an office setting. Investigates complaints and provides consultation to health and social service providers. Some travel is typically required.
Probationary PeriodThis job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS
