POSITION TITLE:

Marketing Coordinator

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

Facilitate and collaborate with various departments within the university to develop marketing materials for the University of Wyoming. Create visual content, short videos, imagery, and written copy that reflect the university's branding and messaging. Assist in formulating social media strategies for both established and new university accounts. Interact with social media audiences by addressing inquiries and directing them to the relevant campus departments. Participate in university events to collect content and collaborate with colleagues to disseminate it across multiple social media channels. Foster connections with student-centered departments to generate pertinent social media content. Provide analytical reports to your supervisor and suggest enhancements for social media engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and produce marketing graphics and content for various initiatives that support the university's mission.
  • Create distinctive designs tailored for diverse marketing platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and websites.
  • Generate accurate captions and content for social media with regular updates to the university's profiles.
  • Adhere to the university's branding guidelines to ensure high-quality marketing outputs.
  • Understand UW's target audiences and their content requirements, including prospective and current students.
  • Become proficient in Facebook Business Manager to aid in the management and promotion of university-wide social media accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify impactful content that aligns with the university's mission and objectives.
  • Produce short-form videos for social media platforms.
  • Thoroughly proofread and review all marketing materials before supervisor evaluation and approval.
  • Monitor and respond to public and direct messages on various social media platforms during weekdays.
  • Report elevated social media issues or comments to the supervisor and recommend solutions for unresolved matters.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Act as a design and production advisor to university staff as needed.
  • Assist the supervisor or independently deliver presentations.
  • Maintain documentation and records effectively.

Experience: 1 year of relevant work experience

Licensure: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with university policy.
