Position Overview:
Beacon Hill Staffing Group is actively seeking a dedicated Labor Relations Human Resources Specialist to enhance our team.
This is a permanent position that requires full onsite presence, with travel to various locations being a component of the role.
Experience in union environments is essential for this position.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute human resource strategies that align with organizational goals and operational needs.
Serve as a catalyst for organizational advancement and employee development.
Identify and implement modern HR practices, including the establishment of a strategic HR Business Partner model.
Oversee specific HR initiatives as outlined in the annual objectives and engage in cross-departmental projects.
Collaborate with management to effectively resolve employee and labor relations challenges.
Promote positive employee relations and foster a collaborative workplace atmosphere.
Deliver exceptional service to all employee groups, ensuring visibility and accessibility of HR to hourly staff.
Facilitate conflict resolution and provide guidance and feedback to employees and management.
Work closely with the recruitment team to manage the interview process, onboarding, and orientation for new hires.
Encourage high participation rates in employee engagement surveys and lead focus groups in partnership with plant leadership.
Conduct thorough investigations and provide recommendations regarding disciplinary actions and terminations.
Maintain a visible presence on the production floor to engage with staff and enhance business understanding.
Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant HR and employee relations experience.
At least 5 years of experience in strategic labor relations, including grievance management and contract administration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with effective time management and prioritization abilities.
Excellent communication skills suitable for engaging with all levels of the organization.
Experience in conflict resolution, project management, and maintaining confidentiality.
Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
