Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Buckingham Senior Living. As a key member of our rehabilitation department, you will provide clinical services to our residents under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to residents under physician's orders
  • Report patient progress, complications, and responses to treatment to the Occupational Therapist
  • Assist with procedures, tests, and treatments to ensure safe and effective evaluation and treatment of patients
  • Participate in continuing education programs and other learning experiences to maintain professional growth and development
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, facility, and physician-related information
  • Accurately document patient information and billing data
  • Attend and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and family meetings as appropriate
  • Conduct staff training and education as needed
  • Review and follow facility and rehabilitation department policies and procedures
  • Supervise non-professional staff as necessary

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current license in the state
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance with state and federal regulations
