Responsibilities- Perform treatment under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist for patients with mobility and activities of daily living deficits.
- Monitor and document every therapy encounter, identifying any adverse responses or follow-ups, and reporting tolerance and progress of therapy interventions in the medical record.
- Responsible for performing patient screenings and delivering recommendations to the supervising occupational therapist for securing necessary supplies for treatment.
- Act as an integral interdisciplinary team member, serving as a liaison between the patient and the team to deliver treatment and promote optimal patient progress towards therapeutic goals.
- Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Rehab team.
- Accountable for delivering quality services and promoting a positive image of the department.
- Associate Degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program is required.
- Occupational Therapy Assistant License issued by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners is required.
- 1 year of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in an Acute, Inpatient Rehab, or Outpatient setting is preferred.
- Current BLS certification is required.
